Alright, Katie thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.

Believe it or not, I was on the path to becoming a nun before my life took an unexpected turn. It all started during a study abroad adventure when I met this captivating individual named “Francois.” Well, let’s just say that lifelong vows of celibacy lost their appeal pretty quickly.

So, I veered off the path of nunhood and found myself in a world that had expectations when it came to sexuality. But here’s the catch—I felt like I was playing catch up in a race that was already in full swing. I was afraid to ask questions, afraid to explore, and questioning my own sexual worth. No one gave me a rule book or the tools to feel empowered and pleasured.

Being the lifelong nerd that I am, I immersed myself in studying everything there was to know about sex. Little did I know that years later, this knowledge would come in handy when I made another discovery—THC.

After a sports injury, I stumbled upon the wonderful world of cannabis. Of course, the bookworm in me needed to know EVERYTHING about it. Try and trust the universe, because in the end, things usually work out for the best.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

Resilience is a big part of my journey. Starting this business, I heard “no” more times than I can count. My resilience and a touch of blind optimism kept me going. Every business owner faces countless hurdles, but if you truly believe you can overcome them, there’s nothing you can’t achieve. Just look at me—I went from nearly becoming a nun to owning a THC sexual wellness brand in over 200 dispensaries and counting. Anything is possible.
